I've realized this break has turned into trend-bashing

I hope whoever reads my blog doesn't mind but yes I'm going to bash another trend: Denim on Denim. My dad inspired me to destroy this trend when he wore a denim button down with jeans...
Ew. One cannot pull off denim with denim it doesn't work. It's another of those trends that just looks better separate.
*Another terrible denim thing going on is coveralls. Yup, that farmer attire is trying to make its way to the top of men and women's apparel. Yes, this is Kourtney Kardashian:
Why??? No one can pull these off, unless you're an actual farmer. Otherwise you look like a giant blue dinosaur or something. Whoever reads my blog, what do you think of this trend? Would you wear this in public?

The Deal with Rompers

You've seen them, you either hate them or you love them. I'm asking for your opinion on this. We all have that mother that thinks you would look cute in something, but I'm not sure about a romper. Every time I see a girl wearing one, I think 'what happens when you have to go to the bathroom, do you have to take the whole thing off?' So I researched them...
A romper is a one-piece garment usually worn by infants. Invented in the 1900s, designers started using it in 2006, became even more popular in 2009.

Pros:
~If you don't know what to wear, the romper doubles as shirt and pants, a whole outfit in one.
~Supposedly it's supposed to work as a dress.
Cons:
~You have to undo the romper to go pee, basically you don't go to the bathroom.
~Rompers do not look good on anyone, only some people can pull them off.
I don't like them, let's leave them for the babies:
It's looks are quite deceiving, but if you really really want one make sure it's a pattern, definitely not a solid color. Also don't pair it with heels, it needs a casual shoe. And no cardigan with it either. If you are the person that would like to know more of these tips, I got them at this website:http://www.helium.com/items/1839817-how-to-wear-a-romper. Good luck with wearing your romper, make sure you don't have to pee before you put it on!

Break and that white trend?!?

Right now it's spring break, and I'm not going anywhere...I wish I was here:

Yes!!!!!!!! Too bad I'm no where near Bora Bora.

So what is that white trend? Is it terrible? Can I wear it after labor day? Do you like it?

The white trend is trying to make itself seem bigger than it actually is. Explain: No one in their right mind should catch on to this trend. The trend is to wear white from head to toe. Are you adding color? No. Are you going to stain your clothes? Yes. Will you be picked from a crowd? Yes. Will it make your skin look whiter? Definitely. If you still are not understanding, look:
This is what the entire outfit is, all in white. Sure, all of these pieces are cute, separately. Personally I think it's great white has become popular again. I mean since everyone has been into black for far too long. But what exactly do you think? I'm not an expert and neither is anyone who reads this blog, so let's compare non-expert opinions. I say head to toe white is terrible, however it's always acceptable to add color, so why is this trend trying to catch on? It almost looks like a blank canvas to me, I just want to splash paint on a completely white outfit.

By the way, as for wearing white after labor day, it's just an old saying that women or girls should not wear white dress shoes or heels before memorial day and after labor day. Today wearing white after labor day is not a felony I assure you.

Also I was asked to upload a picture of my junior ball dress:
Mine is just in a raspberry color instead of this atrocious watermelon color, I wanted to go more simple and elegant, but I cannot wait until prom, my dress is going to be more me and maybe I'll even make it myself...More to come later on that.

Oh jeez....

Now this has probably happened to everyone atleast once...

Once upon a time(today) one morning, a girl woke up and got dressed. She put on a purple skirt with boho knit embellishing on the front that she bought last year...She got to school and spotted 2 freshmen wearing that very same exact skirt. Her friends told her she looked better in it(she thought so too since she paired it with her brown combat boots)but she couldn't help to think how embarrassed she was, being a fashionista and all...wah:(
So that was me and I am not ever buying clothing from American Eagle ever again, it doesn't matter how cute it looks, their clothing is too much of a universal.(Except I do still love their raglan tees)

Sorry this post is so short, but I'm being inducted into NHS tonight;so feel my pain and reminisce about the time you were wearing the same thing as someone else was. Have fun!

The Big Decision (of your high school life...)

Actually just kidding...it's not, but for the girls it absolutely is. Junior Ball is coming up and a lot of girls have been asking whether their dress should be short or long. Well Junior Ball is not casual and also not formal, but it's quite a decision that I had to make myself.{Homecoming<Junior Ball<Prom}So here's 2 solutions:

1.) A short dress. However you must keep in mind that it must be more formal than a homecoming dress. So here's your options:
A strapless dress with a bubble bottom, anyone can pull these off and they come in a million different colors.Always a classic style party dress. They can be very short though if you want to keep it short and simple. This one is artsy looking too. Found at Deb.com at 69.99.

One of my friends actually got one like this, it's a halter top with embellishing on the collar. Empire waisted and come in different lengths from short to tea length(up to your knees). The bottom has a cute little fun wave to it and tulle underneath.Very popular style this year. Found at Deb.com as well for 79.99(p.s. your best bet for a short dress would probably be Deb or Forever 21(in store or online for either)).

Now this would probably be my ideal Junior Ball dress. It's got a good length and it's elegant(and cheap!) The ever popular tube dress it's strapless with cute pleats on the chest and at the waist with a pencil bottom and to make it fun, there's an unobnoxious flower at the other side of the waist. Found at Forever 21 for only 29.80!!!

2.) A long dress. Probably less formal than prom, I found mine at The Clothes Horse(in Orchard Park) you could also look at Monroe's Place(Hamburg) or of course Deb. I wouldn't go with a princess dress(poofy ball gown prom dresses) but more of a flowy or grecian dress:

Mermaid dresses will always be in. This one is appropriate for Junior ball because it's form-fitting and it flows, it also has a cute ruffled strap. Found at Deb.com for 119.99(be sure to know a longer dress will cost more unless it's used).

Love these. I'm all into the grecian style dresses right now and it's a popular trend. These are two different perspectives of grecian style dresses. Both have one strap and are flowy the right dress is longer with a more looser feel. The left dress has layers. Both very appriate for Junior Ball. Plus the right one could be shortened for a wedding or homecoming.Deb.com, both 69.99.
Another popular dress. Prints are in whether it be floral or animal. This style of a flowy drop waist usually can be found in both prints. Sometimes halter or straps. In exotic or tropical colors. Could be shortened after wearing also. Deb.com for 99.99.

My friend purchased this style, she is going to both Junior Ball and
Prom and she only wanted to buy one dress. It's very simple:strapless and has a slight ball gown feel. Comes in tons of colors and different embellishings. Deb.com for 99.99.

*These are not all your options, you do not have to buy one of these dresses, these are just the trends, and what I think looks best for junior ball, All of these dresses could be found at different stores for different prices and similar looks. Deb.com and Forever21.com (These links will lead you directly to dresses)

This might take awhile...

So in my blog description it says I wanna prove to my dad that fashion design isn't a useless major. I still haven't fully explained myself. Well here it goes, I absolutely need to prove to him it's not. I tried so hard. I made him a career option list consisting of all the jobs in fashion but he thinks its cute, that I'm just in a phase!?! Alright that's cool dad, I mean its not like I have drawn tons of designs, know my own style, and love the fashion business...So I made this blog, that is if anyone is actually reading, to prove to my dad that fashion is my passion (I'm cheesy and I know it), and to have a little fun bashing trends and giving fashion advice. So if you are that person that sees a terrible trend or needs some advice, or if you just wanna criticize me (I'm okay with that) e-mail me at limelovrr22@aim.com.

What I mentioned in Issues

What the heck are soludos???

Well, click on the link. They're these super cute artsy mediterranean beach shoes! They only start at $26, just go on the site already here they are:

Issues

So, I'll start with this...My school has its own trends that people follow. Lately there have been trends with shoes. BAD trends:
1.) TOMs shoes, which I adore. Everyone is starting to love them, but here is the problem: My unknowing classmates think TOMs shoes were created by some guy named Tom. There is a simple solution, his name is Blake Mycoskie and TOMs stands for Tomorrow.
2.) UGGs, some of you out there love them, I hate them. They don't flatter your ankles and feet. And you may not wear them in 50 degree weather!
3.) The ever-so-popular Sperrys, guess what? They're not universal. They may only be called Sperrys if they were actually designed by Sperrys. If you are like the rest of the population that cannot afford actual Sperrys, they are called "boat-shoes".

Here are the shoes I like for spring: Any cork wedge, soludos , ballet flats, sandals, boat-shoes, vans, cowboy boots, military boots, and flip flops are okay.

Who Am I?

Who am I? To be totally honest, I'm not completely sure myself. Furthermore, my name will be discrete, but I'll tell you a little about myself.
~I am a junior in high school
~I'm obsessed with fashion(I actually was inspired to start this blog by "He")
~I am going to tell you my adventures through my high school's hallway and trying to prove to my dad fashion design is not a useless college major, and I can do it.
Warning: You may be annoyed and/or all of the following-amused, confused, amazed....
