The Art of Wearing The Maxi

I know you've all been waiting for this...

So a maxi dress, where does it come from?
The Maxi Dress: An informal or formal dress wore by women, first seen from designer Oscar de La Renta and worn by Elizabeth Arden Salon in 1968. It didn't become popular however until the 70's.
So what defines a maxi dress today? It's a comfy, long, flowy, and chic dress usually in a boho, caftan, or tribal pattern that can be worn for almost any occasion. It can be worn casual or formal, it's the go-to dress. Actually it's kind of like your whole outfit in one, it covers you from your shoulders to your ankles, all you need it the perfect shoe to pair it with. So what kind of Maxi dress is for you....

You can also wear a solid color as well, you can find them anywhere. Also look for maxi skirts too! You can wear a maxi dress with a chunky wedge heel, flip flops, sandals, espadrilles, but no heels or pumps! It just looks weird. So that's the maxi dress for you.

By the way, here's your history:
